We support anyone who has been affected by sexual violence, no matter when or how it happened.
We offer low-cost face to face counselling in our premises in central Watford as well as telephone counselling and counselling via Zoom. Counselling is available for anyone of any gender aged 16 years or over, who has been affected by sexual violence at any time in their lives.
Counselling will give you the opportunity to explore and reflect on your emotions and thoughts in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space. Our counsellors are all accredited or registered with the BACP and adhere to their ethical and professional standards. All of our counsellors are female and all have undergone specialist training in sexual trauma in order to ensure that they can support you effectively as you move forward in your journey towards recovery. We are also available to support anyone who has been affected by the trauma of sexual abuse or assault of a friend or family member.
Counselling is available during office hours Monday-Friday. We offer up to 24 sessions, which take place at the same time each week. Each session lasts 50 minutes. If you think you might benefit from counselling, email us on support@junocounselling.co.uk and we will get in touch with you to discuss your needs.

What people say about having counselling with Juno:

"Although my experience of rape lies some years ago, I still feel the loss of my self as acutely as I did then. To this day, I am very uneasy about travelling in the dark. In desperation, I reached out to Juno for help. Juno provides a lifeline for many, many survivors of sexual abuse. Without them I think it would’ve been a distinct possibility that I could’ve gone under completely.

My counsellor “held me” as I went through my PTSD and battled with the mental and physical fallout of this event. Juno’s counselling sessions helped me to sit with my feelings of fear, mistrust of people, and suicidal thoughts. My mental suffering was compounded by physical symptoms of migraine and frozen shoulder. I felt that only Juno could understand how I was suffering, that my life as it had been was irretrievably lost, and that I wouldn’t just “get over it”. Impossible. Through the counselling I received with Juno, I was eventually able to accommodate the rape into my life and to live again. It is also some comfort for me, and doubtless others too, to know that you can go back to Juno for help years later if you need to "
